ZRX tank letters on SXR jet ski

Converted this 800 SXR into an 1100 SXR, then had the idea to make my ski very unique. to zrx24 for providing the letters for me.

What'd you use to glue them on?

I used 3M double sided adhesive tape. I covered the backs of the letters then used Fiskers scissors and an exacto knife to cut out the letters. The A's and S's were a pain in the "A" After that, some measuring and some painters tape made it very easy to make both sides look the same.





Ski was stock with a 80 HP, two cylinder, two stroke 800cc motor, capable of 48-52mph. Now it's an angry 140 HP, 1100cc, triple cylinder two stroke, capable of 65mph. Some guys are porting and stroking these animals to over 190HP


"United We Stand" sticker... been there for two paint jobs, never coming off.

Been a long time since I've ridden a stand up. Definitely takes some skills to do it right.

That's a lot of HP for a stand up!

It's become a handful for sure! Funny thing is, my 85lb. golden retriever loves to go rippin' on it with me I can't wait for the next race. I'm planning to do some time trial laps with him on the course during intermission. Maybe I can get some other doggie jetski riders to do an exhibition race.

Makes you wonder how hard it would be to graft one of those beasts into something that has a trans and stuff it in a road bike frame...........

That would be radical! We've considered doing that with an old 550 or X2 jetski, using an XR-80 pit bike for power. I think we would cut the bottom out so the tires contact the ground.
A street bike? That would be a missile fit for the Bonneville Salt Flats!
