    dr 650 streettracker is done

Finally finished and already sold to my neighbor. After riding a few hundred miles it was a hoot but just not enough motor or suspension, i have lost 60 lbs but it just was not enough to not overwork the bike. fun project though.

    Well done.

Looks like it would have been a fun ride!

So, how many cc's necessary to be "enough" motor???
Silver REXs are sooo subtle - they slide right under the enemy's radar, then WHAM - they're dead!

03 REX - Akra, K&N pods, Ivan's jets, Teds Advancer, airbox out and chainguard, Chrispy's mirrors, Biscuits rearsets, Greg's brace, Armz shift linkage, Wog's seat, 'n some other stuff

    84 KZ1100R - Yosh, K&N, fork brace
    82 GPz 550 - Hindle

It runs very strong for what it is, but I kinda looked like an elephant riding a piss ant if ya know what I mean. At 6'3" and 375 well you get the picture.

    That thing is SCHWINGTASTIC!

    Are the body parts custom?
Do you have any other info on the build?

Re: dr 650 streettracker is done

The rear tail, seat, and front fender are all hotwings products. the fender is mounted via a 73 Yamaha 360 fender brace that is bolted to a fork brace from ebay.Gas tank is a 73 harley ss 350. Pipe is a one off made from 2 ground and polished dr head pipes and a supertapp for an xr650. chain guard, sprocket cover, and exhaust mount are 3/8 round tubing. I also added front and rear braided brake lines and a moved the rear master cylinder down just above the swingarm. It is a billet unit I got off ebay.It also has a mx robs fcr carb with a custom conical k& n filter that sticks out below left side cover. Sider cover are custom one offs made from laminated sign aluminum. all electrics including the battery are tucked up under the rear seat so nothiing is visible. Paint is pearl white base with green and purple stripes. all lettering is painted. Gas cap is a pre 72 harley billet cap. petcock is a pingle. I am not sure about the headlight as it was already mounted when I bought it.

    Thank you!

I would love something similar, it would be great with all the dirt roads around here!

    Are those the stock wheels?
