I've got a Arai helmet that I've had for years. (7-8) It's light, looks good, and fits well. But -- after getting my Rex, I decided to upgrade. Being able to listen to music, or use my phone sounded great, so Bluetooth it was !! Looking at the mail order places, and saw the Vega V-Tune.
Off brand, I know, but -- looks great, (green and black) and the drop down sunshield seemed to be a great idea. Dropped from $219 to $119, so I went for it. Alot of reviews bitched about the fit, but took a chance.
Came 3 days later, and I was impressed. Nice paint\finish, and almost as light as my Arai. Tired it on -- fit was good, but snug. Lots of removeable padding, and vents. Went for a ride and found vents were NOT very efficent. (HOT !!) Drop down sunshield is FANTASTIC !! No more sunglasses while ridding. Close to your face, but it's ok.
Now -- to the Bluetooth !! Charged it up, ( 4 or 5 hrs) and found it EASY to pair to my phone. Controls are simple and work well. 1 main button then up \ down for volume, and 2 others for next \ back for songs. But-- when you download songs to your phone, be sure the volume is MAXED OUT, or you'll have a hard time hearing it on a sport bike with a header, at most highway speeds. Only bitch I have with it. Phone operation is better than expected, but letting it self answer (after 2 rings) works best for me. No volume \ hearing issues for me or the other person.
All in all -- ALOT better than expected, great price, looks fantastic, sunshade is sweet, and Bluetooth and music work well. Just make sure you download your music loud enough, and enjoy !!
