I've been contacted 5-6 times this year asking to make a rearset plate like our Canadian brother Biscuit produced a few years back. I politely refused because it was someone else's gig and I wouldn't do it without their permission. Well, after the last time, I contacted Steve via PM with the following message:
I'm not sure how many of you have met the man, but just talking to Steve on the phone, I can tell you he's a great guy. He not only gave me his blessing to produce his design, but sent me a complete set to reverse engineer and have my way with as well and wouldn't take anything for them. Well, not that he knows about anyway.Originally Posted by RK-REX
Anyway, I'm going to be working on putting a run of these together sometime this summer and I would like to get an idea of how many sets I should have made. These are beyond the ability of my personal machine shop if I make more than one or two sets. I'm going to have the job quoted from a few places and see if I can call in some favors to get a good price. I'm going to try and get them out for around the same price they used to be if I can. I'm not positive, but I think it was just under $100 for the plates and hardware.
