Attachment 163013 I've been a Kal person for a long time, starting with a G5 (100cc) street \ trail back in 1975 when I was 14. I've had some super nice 1's over the years, including a 1980 Z1- R (black, yosh pike 29mm smoothbores) a 1976 Z-1 900 B, ( F-A-S-T but didn't like to turn) and my all time fav, a 1981 KZ 1000 LTD. (two tone black and silver)
Always wanted a ZRX, but took a 15 year bike vacation after being hit by a drunk woman in ATL. in 1995. Retired in 2011 at 50 with NO DEBT (!!!! :grin:) and now have alot of free time.
Started with a 2006 Mini Cooper S (supercharged 6 speed), bought a new Mini (paddle shift auto - tubbo) and then it happened. My current female called from work. "come by" 2005 Shadow 1100 beside her car, and she ask -- "Is that worth $2500 ?" I said sure, so she says she's buying it for us to ride. The guy was laid off and getting ready to lose his house, (wife and 3 kids) and had to sell it to catch up the payments. Great deal at $2500 so I went ahead and bought it !! (not her)
Decent bike, but not me. So--looking on craigslist Friday and fell in love !!http://knoxville.craigslist.org/mcy/3030730802.html Called right away, left message. No call Friday or Saturday, but he called Sunday morning. Went to see it, offered $3000 cash, and he says "no" and I about died !!
Left, but KNEW I had to have it !! 9700 miles and killer shape, couldn't be beat. Bank closed yesterday, and I thought about it all day. But -- 6pm rolls around and I knew I had to call and buy it. Got it at lunch today and love it !! Any feedback or opinions on the deal ?? Fair price ?? New tires, K and N's, etc., but I've never heard of this exhaust !! (Dale Walker Holeshot ??) How is it ?? Do I need to replace it now ?? It sounds nice, but am I better off with a D and D or something else ?? Anybody else have this type of slip-on ?? Please help !!

Bike looks to be in great condition. Seems like you got a steal. And no, don't switch the pipe/can- that's Dale Walker's work, top notch, very expensive. If jetted properly, she'll run w/the best of the ZRX's!

O.K. Mitch is playin' possum with ya. What he REALLY means is: listen Dude, you say it's a '99 but those bikes have the white stripe over the purple stripe and the '00's have the purple stripe over the white stripe (your bike). I have one of each so ya just might call me one of them that experts on stripes. Have you checked all the documentation as well as the manufacturers decal on the bike?

But before you get to all that yoiu must make your first official ZRXOA mod and get those stinking gay-faggot-queer-bait reflectors off of her. There's one smiley for that: You can do it. Stop dinner and get in the gerruge and make it happen. Then edit post with you new, improved and faster ZRX

I never said it was a 99 people !! Bike was a good deal at $3200 with the new tires, pipe, pods and jet kit, and I'm loving it !! Found 2 things I need to look into. Spark knock !! Bad gad from sitting ?? Drained it and filled with 93 Any advice\ tips ?? Aftermarket parts to help with the advance ?? And -- the slots on top of my fork tubes are seized and wont turn !! 1 points to 7 oclock, and 1 points to 10 oclock !! Not good when they both should be the same !! So--same question !! Tips \ advice anyone ?? P.S. removed the reflectors !!
