Were you headed up 25 toward Denver? It's about 400 miles.
If I get to continue, I want to ride Utah next.....No sense in going to Colorado, Wayne says I'm infected and will be shot on sight. Even with his decreasing skills, I' m a large target.

Seriously, The random guy I met and am staying with (Logan) is a frikken SAINT..

He is watching over me....I'm ok, I just am wasted from the pills. ANYTHING physical just drains me to the point.I become disoriented.

    Can't ride like that....

I called my doc back in Va. , she's good and she has been down the MRSA road with me before.

Re: The "Big Ride" from the road

In the grand scheme of things, this is just a bump in the road compared to what others have gone/been thru..

It's just so depressing to be so disoriented at the most minor physical move. It's so unlike me to not be in control.

I drink but never to the point of being drunk, cause I HATE the loss of control.

As long as I do NOTHING, I feel ok. Maybe part of this is the altitude, when I first started feeling the bad effects, it was the morning I woke up camped up by Taos, which is at 8000+ feet.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my Doc in Va......

I want to keep going so bad, but I can't do ANYTHING without feeling like I'm gonna pass out!

Well I see you ain't lost your sense of humor. I've thought about it and if the event you can't continue, instead of coming to get you in the truck, I'll just fly out, and pick up your trip where you left off. I'm very giving that way.

Heck, I'll even send you pictures from the road.

Seriously though, keep us updated and what ever is needed, let us know. Remember, this too shall pass, and you'll back in the saddle again.

Well....I've been hooked to an IV all day until now.....

Doc says I'll be better eventually.......

Got to take another 10 day regime of 2 different anti-biotics......The Bactrim and another....

Doc says they won't make me sick, I don't believe it, but have no choice.

In addition, 2-3 showers a day with special soap and 4 applications of a salve for 5 days.....

Going back to the motel tomorrow, I can't expect my "good samaritan" to provide me everything I'm going to need if I'm gonna beat this....

    WHAT A NIGHT MARE.....

Holy shit. Greg...don't you think you should put this trip on hold and get home to wipe out that crap? Arrangements could be made to get your bike back. It just seems the sensible and far more affordable thing to do. Even if you hang there for 10 days and try to continue you'll be weak and not able to fully enjoy the trip. After having done a few of these myself I know I have to be 100% or it becomes a torture test. Let us know what we can do for you. If you choose to stay I'll chip in for some lodging expenses, food, etc. Not trying to be a doomsayer here, just trying to save a life. Thoughts?

I don't have to stay in the hotel for 10 days, but I have to take the pills....

The doc thinks I will feel much better in 3 days.,..

Part of the problem is altitude.....taking 1/2 of my meds didn't help either...

All I can do is see how the new drugs affect me.....and then I'll decide if I need to go home or keep going...

Needless to say, I want to keep going, but I won't be stupid either....

FWIW....some of the lack of clarity in my posts is because it's SO HARD to type on this phone

Gotcha. It's your call and you'll do what's best. Hey, did the docs also say that the it's related to the altitude/elevation? Exactly what town are you in?

Dude, in the event you decide you just have to come home, and hop a plane, let me know. I'll just fly out and ride the bike back home for you. On that note, can you purchase a round trip ticket with two different names on the two legs? I fly out, you hand me bike keys at the airport, and then take the return flight home? Seems to me that would work, but airlines are flakey.

Let me know, we can superslab the bike back in under 2 days.
