    Looking for jetting advice...

    Hey guys,

I am looking at getting a full system but haven't made a purchase yet...was thinking muzzy stainless with TI can but would consider others...

Not sure which way to go for the jet kit though...I've read that Ivan's kit isn't ideal for here in central florida being we ae at sea level and with the humidity....so was thinking about FP maybe?

Currently, I am pretty sure the bike is running rich in stock config as I frequently smell fuel and am only getting around 37-38mpg. Not sure this matters though because it will all change with the full system and jets.

Was thinking to also get an advancer and maybe pods after seeing some many folks bitch about getting the carbs on and off with stock airbox.

Any suggestions or thoughts from FL folks?

37-38 is better than I was getting in stock configuration. Not sure on the jetting, I did a DJ for full system and it seems to work well enough (pops a lot on decel), I don't have a dyno run to back up any gains in power though.

Well...37-38mpg is when I'm not flogging it...on a normal Sunday ride, it's maybe 33-34. Popping on decel would frustrate the hell outta me...I have considered getting it dyno'd before adding the pipe and jet kit...but almost seems like a waste of money.

Made my decision for jet kit and intake. Getting the Factory Pro 2.5 kit with the big K&N. Ordered Kwick's intake tray and an advancer as well to go with the full muzzy

Can't wait. I'm sure I'll have questions when I put in the kit.

Thanks HillBilly. I am certain to need it as I've read they are a hassle to get on and off.
