Northern Tool has someting similar...
Ultra-Tow Motorcycle Tire Spinner
I keep meaning to stop into our local Northern Tool to pick one up, but everytime I'm "in the area" I'm in a hurry or forget to do so.

Just watched the videos on the Wheel Jockey site. They actually show the Northern Tool one as an alternate. I like the fact that the Wheel Jockey is small. It appears the one from Northern Tool is much larger...

Yeah, but this one is 4 X 4 1/2" and can live under the seat. Haven't actually seen one in person yet, but it is returnable for 30 days. Now just to get enough time off work for a decent road trip...
I like clean wheels and chains, but I'm generally in the garage or driveway when I'm cleaning - so portability isn't as important. Having said that, I'm VERY interested in a review once you get your Wheel Jockey.

If all you want to do is service the rear wheel, you might consider this alternative. And you can take it with you.

wow!! I had seen the wheel jockey, but not the pack jack. That pack jack is way cool!!
There's nothing to fear but fear itself
Shipping is high but maybe your dealer would buy a couple for other sportbike riders in his shop. I'm going to have my dealer get some in. I have nothing to do with the company but think it is a great piece of kit.

Doh! Should have asked here first. Pack Jack looks like the superior setup and is cheaper to boot, might just have to return the WJ. Anybody know if the spool version will work with the eccentrics flipped?
Is there a verdict in on either of these yet? powerjack or wheeljockey??
