    Berrymans--??$$

What's a gallon of Berrymans carb chem-dip cost in the good old USofA these days? I have a 35 yr old set of carbs that need a serious cleaning and cleaning solutions up here have gone "green" -enviromentally friendly useless citrus juice crap that you could probably make lemonade with. I'm heading over the border to pick up some tires soon and was just wondering.

The last can I bought was around 20 bucks with tax. Here locally it's been down-sized.......only 3 quarts now instead of a gallon.

Thanks Dan, that's sounds pretty good to me. I'll see what they have in Dunseith or Bottineau when I go down to pick up tires next weekend. I just received noticed they were shipped today.

    Buy the GUNK Brand dip.

It works. Berryman's dip has been neutered.

ACE hardware you can order it from, or O'Rielly's. Either will deliver it to the local store for no charge.

Any way to tell if it's old stock and still the good stuff?

I priced a gallon of Kleen-flo 651 at the local Acklands-Grainger and whoesale cost was $65; before taxes. But apparently it's the real McCoy. I'm hoping to get something descent for considerably less money south of the 49th.

Berryman's carb dip has been poop for at least 5-8 years now.
I used to be able to soak V8 cylinder heads in it and they would come out spotless, now it won't remove a Sharpie scribble.
We used to have 50 gallons in the transmission tank to clean auto trans innards.
Now it is junk...something in it is EPA hazardous and they took it out.

The only stuff I have found that currently still works is GUNK, and it does not make your hands smell. It's $25-$28 a three quart gallon can. Really.

Thanks for the info KWICK, I'll go with Gunk next time.
I remember years ago at work we had a solvent that would strip clean anything, but.....it got neutered too.
