Reccomended rain covers for your gloves

Black, XL Nitrile powder free gloves make EXCELLENT glove covers to keep your leather gloves from becoming soaked in a storm. Black is fashionable and the Nitrile really stretches a long way. Even though they are listed as one-time use, these can be re-used a few times. A box usually sells for $7-10 on eBay or other places, and usually contains 50 pairs.

They come in bigger sizes too. I usually wear a XXL.

    Without gloves under them

I did it per instructions, too. It will bead up for the first ten minutes or so, then the gloves start to get wet. After a 1/2 hour of a good soaker, it's over.

This is deerskin (Lee Parks gloves), so cow/goat/pig/elk might be different.

So are the XL's big enough or would XXL's be too big and loose ?

I would think you could get a good pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves for the price of those electricians gloves but I guess they do give you a little extra lightning protection.

The XL's fit easily over my large MC gloves, and it's a tight fit. The Nytrile gloves stretch quite a bit without breaking or tearing. And, they fit my bare hands well, so they can be used on the road for repairs, so a dual purpose. And, carrying a dozen takes literally no space.

If you have a glove that's bigger than a large, maybe go XXL on the gloves.

Yeah, yeah, the gloves are a good idea and all that but I'm diggin' the old-school fridge!

How old is that ice box?

I bought it from a bicycle shop that had it for 37 years, and I have owned it for 15 years now. So a minimum of 52 years old. Runs great! Keeps all my beer and soda ice cold.

    I paid $25 for it.

That fridge would be a good match for my Co-op freezer. I'm not sure of the year but the serial no. suggests it may be 1951. Still works great.

We're always in the running for the cheapest electricity in North America. Minimal effect, in other words.

I have mine in the basement, so it doesn't run near as hard as it would out in a garage or upstairs. But, I bet I could have put a kid thru community college for a year if I wouldn't run the thing.
