    Handle Bars

    Hello Everyone,

Thought I would get some opinions out there on aftermarket handlebars. I am 6ft 4in and would like to lean more into the wind while I am riding. I am wondering what you guys have done out there. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 6'2" and run super bike bars w/ the stock bar mounts turned 180. Moves you forward a good bit. When I ride the black Rex w/ stock bars they feel like they're in my lap.

    Re: Handle Bars

Which bars would give me a nice aggressive look and feel with out interrupting turning or hitting the tank while locked. I came from sport bikes love the red for 2 up rides but when solo I would like to be a bit more aggressive. Any input on what to look for. Maybe a bar similar to a sportbike feel. I have the stock shocks so clip ons are outta the question I believe

They are expensive to most folks. But worth every penny I paid for them.

    Re: Handle Bars

We have tried a lot of different bars, currently on my bike is Rizoma Conical low with Rizoma 42mm risers, lower than stock and no problems with clearance. The kids bike had Renthal low bars with no problems, prior to that they had clubman bars from Mike's XS.com with no issues but they wanted something a little more up-right for longer rides. As stated earlier turn the handlebar clamps 180 and that will move the bars further away at no charge. Bike Master Super bike bars work, have also used a variety of Renthal Fat Bars (KTM Low, CR Low, and some other bend) the dirt bike bars are wider than street bars. We have tried clip ons on their bike as well, the low/flat clipons will require steering stop mods, lose a lot of turning, also tried clipons with adjustable height, they worked with no problems.

In short the cheapest change is rotate the handle bar clamps and try superbike bars.

    Re: Handle Bars

Thanks I don't know how I feel about the bars on the pictures posted above. They are neat but I guess I'd have to see them in person. About the other bars ill have to look into them. A lot of great names were thrown out I know rizoma makes some quality stuff. How do you think the rizomas would feel with out the risers? Any who I guess what I should be looking for a "low" bars?? Ill keep looking and hunting. Who else reads this post pictures of your bars if you'd like that would be great!

    Re: Handle Bars

You have to have some kind of riser. You could leave the stock one but fat bars look better and need a fat riser. Rizoma has a low one (42mm). I have the 60mm but the bars themselves are about stock height.

Checkout convertibars. They are overpriced but have a lot of adjustments. Best thing about them is you can keep changing them until they feel right.

    ZG1200REX check it out

    ZG1200REX,

I have a set of bike master bars and a set of renthal street fighter bars that I will sell you. So you can try them out.
The bars on my bike now. The pics I posted. Are what I wound up using after trying a lot of different set ups. I sold off my risers already or I would sell you those to try out too.

You can spend a lot of money trying a lot of different bars. but if you want something like you posted

    ZG1200REX

Then go ahead and spend that money once. on a set of the bars I am running. On two up rides just sit up straighter. slide back in the saddle a little more.
Solo get down and slide up towards the tank. Just like having Clip ons. with out losing anything.

    IMHO

Honestly the more a look at your bars on your current bike they are kinda growing on me. Would these be a direct fitment to stock hardware?

    Re: Handle Bars

Are those handle bars longer than stock? I notice you have an eye sore of a gap between throttle and starter button. (Eye sore to me at least)

What is up with that gap? Did you extend the throttle tube or is the grip dragging on the bar?

Come w caps yes,and threaded ends for barends/mirrors.

Very comfortable, look more aggressive than reality but gives you a good feed back connection w front end.
