    Heated gear from Lowes??

    Saw this today...

I thought about picking one up for the woman, but figured I'd do some research first. The lady at Lowes said they were $140 and just got knocked down to $70.

comparable gerbings is $130... I have no idea how well this kobalt one does.

I'd give it a shot. How often does she ride with you when it would be needed anyway?

It's made by these guys. Looks like they've got some decent products. Don't get her all heated up, now.

Went by the Lowes here and they don't have them. There are none avail in the state. I hate to buy stuff without trying it on .

But that is a great price and I could use it at work too.

ANYTHING bearing the name Kobalt sucks.

Save your money and buy a Gerbings or similar motorcycle specific heated jacket and /or gear.

Whatever brand you buy, you definitely want 12v plug in type gear... NOT a cheesy battery pack getup.

if you were hunting or something outdoors that would be a different situation .... and Gerbings does sell a battery pack for those purposes...

But if your riding a motorcycle, plug it in...
    It's common sense.

    Thank you.

Well, we picked up the smallest size they had (medium) and it was way to big to go under her leather jacket.

So we're taking it back. Its a nice jacket, but there's no sense in keeping it.

One piece of junk is better than the other piece of junk, right?

I bought a retractable hose reel at Lowes (kobalt) it lasted less than a year...

went to harbor freight and bought a heavy duty hose reel for the same price and better quality.

if your happy buying junk, more power to ya.

and we happen to be talking about motorcycle heated gear... not hand tools... Try to keep up...

my wife & I both have the tourmaster vests

    totally love them.

If that is true then I can understand why they are onsale

Once you get use to warm on command, it is difficult to go without.. I would spring for a wired vest first...
