So Cal ZRX Ride Ojai/Hwy 33 Sat Nov 26th

After Thanksgiving ZRX Ride
Weather is going to be 80 degrees this Sat.
Meet up at the Chevron station at Wendy Dr/Hwy 101. in Newbury Park Sat at 9:00.
That is next to the motel everyone stayed at on Desert Innsanity.
For those who aren't familiar, the address of the Chevron is:
2870 Camino Dos Rios, Newbury Park, CA 91320. It is just off the Wendy exit on the right.
This way we won't be getting started too late. rock store ain't that great that early Sat am and is out of the way just for to meet up.
We should pull out of Newbury Park Chevron no later than 9:30.
Also a meet up will be at the Chevron in Santa Paula for the guys from Santa Clarita.
Ride through the hills the back way to Ojai, then up the re-paved (early this year)Hwy 33 to Lockwood Valley. Eat lunch at "The Place Cafe" on Hwy 33, then up Cerra Nordeste through Pine Mountain and Frazier Park. Then I-5 on home OR if time permits, we can loop back on Lockwood Valley Rd from the fork at Pine Mtn, and back to Hwy 33 to Ventura, Hwy 101.

Hey Mike, I was just up there on a speed run to pick up a WR250R dual sport with my daughter Leah.

Just off Lost Hills.....sorry we didn't call, but we were on a limited time frame. Left the house at 7:30 and back at 1pm

Picked up a 1600 mile hardly used unit WITH FMF Programer, FMF Powercore and Power bomb, New in the bag skid plate, new in the bag rad cover, Edge tail light, and all stock items that came off the bike!!

To say we are happy with this deal is an understatment.....the bike runs great with ME on it.......my daughter is a little lighter than I !!

I bought new tires 3 months ago and barely have them broke in. Nice weather this weekend. Might not get too many more good temps for a while.

I have to say I have been thinking about this ride all day and I am excited it's been quite a while since I rode with any of the Board members.

Mike, I was thinking about the first ride that I took with you guys it was this ride 12-7-08. I did not have my Rex yet, was on the trusty Ninja!! Can't wait!

I just checked miles and it is 15 miles shorter for you to meet up in Newbury Park than to go to Santa Paula.( I told you)

It is 15 miles from here to Santa Paula so it would come out the same for you as far as miles go, and you would miss out riding Balcom Cyn and South Mtn Rd.to Santa Paula, unless your scared of Balcom Cyn.

If I go to Santa Paula I take the 15 to the 10 to the 57 to 210 to the 5 to the 126 to Santa Paula.

But I decided to meet at the 101 CHEVRON....a little warmer if I go this way......215/91/57/22/405/101

I should be there about 9:30.

It's just me in the morning Mike, if you don't mind let me know what time you leave Newbury Park. I figured I would leave my house around 9:00 AM and that should put me in Santa Paula about 9:45 to 10.

I should only take about 25 minutes or less to S.P. once we leave.

I just recommended a shorter way plus you would get off the freeway sooner and ride nice roads.
