    My new dualsport

I just got a 2003 KLX400 today for a good price, and my insurance went down when I added this bike to my policy. I am a happy camper!!! I've been looking around for this one for 3 or 4 years.

    NICE DRZ

I have the same tank, Edge tail, rack, CRC Side case covers ( Thumper Talk Private labeled )

If you are over 200# you might need a stiffer rear spring.....Race Tech has them!! The front is very adustable.

Have fun!! Warp9 makes a nice set of SM Wheels for about $800 complete.

This thing has some nice upgrades_-heated grips, kick starter, new chain & sprockets, bigger gas tank, vapor trail speedometer/tach.heavy duty battery. in addition to the things you mentioned. I can't wait to put it on the road. Oh yeah,my insurance premium is 22 dollars less now, haha did notice some clutch slippage @ 5 grand in 3rd so I adj. & lubed the cable we'll see how it is tomorrow.

I couldn't deal with riding a Suzuki let alone a yellow one so I got the tank and plastic off a wrecked KLX 400 and made her into a Kawasaki.

I have to say the DRZ 400 is a good bike though. It just looks better when a Suzuki is in Kawasaki green.

I absolutely agree! BUT, in 05 I couldn;t find a green KLX400 to save my life. I needed to get a bike to ride with my daughter....she had a Yamaha TTR125LE...in BLUE......so I got the Blue DRZ, since Ymaha didn't have the WR450 in a dual sport!

Very nice bike IGNATZ ! I like the Kawi version.
Most things are better in green.

I have a Suzy offroad DRZ version that I tagged, and eventually added wheels, brakes, jetting, Yosh Ti pipe etc. I love it. Great contrast to a heavy superbike.

That is a beauty, DH ! I got a factory manual & joined TT! Put about 45 miles on her today after an oil change, I'm really havin' a blast with this thing! The heated grips were nice to have with temps in the 40's Maybe some day get a set of those 17" wheels,& a heavier rear spring, but for now it's good.

    IGNATZ,

If it hasn't been done already, do the uncork pipe endcap, rejet, and the airbox open-up thingy. Really wakes these up especially the "S" models.

Details on TT, or I'll find and send link.

I NEED some of those heated grips as part of my time is in SE Pennsylvania.

Signawh, I'm in the throes of a 1224 parts grab. I'd be borrowing a carb sync tool from the Fredness. We should meet for lunch or dinner when I stop up. Bring Weeyum with ya. Drop the yoke and prepare to Hoke
