    Throttle sticks after bar change.

I'm not real sure what is going on but I changed my bars and had the carbs out (because I thought I was going tubo) reinstalled the carbs and put the cable housing back together, and now the throttle sticks. Its not all the time and usualy between 75% and wot. I have checked my cables 7 or 8 times. I cant see any kinks or tight spots. I lubed them up and they got a little better. I have tried adjusting them but nothing.

They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

The ZRX throttle cables have to be routed exactly correctly otherwise the throttle sticks. You might have undone the cables at the grip and then pulled them all the way out with the carbs.

Someone should be along to post the usual area where we get the cable routing wrong (I can't recall now).

Also consider spraying some silicone spray lubricant between the grip housing and the bar.
I'm not completely useless. I can always be used as a bad example.

Here's the install instructions I did for the works throttle that shows where the cables should be routed and might give you some ideas: http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54620

I just went back out and messed with it a little more. The cables look good. They will work free for 7 or 8 cycles then stick. I'll wiggle it and it will work fine again for a while. They run right next to each other. come up and around smooth. I dunn. I'm going to bed. Maybe the gnomes will fix it for me over night. My pipe will be here tomorrow so I had better get it figured out quick. Thanks guys.

Make sure your grips aren't rubbing on the ends of the bars (throttle side) were you cut them to put on the bar ends, I had this problem when I changed out my grips.

A couple other things to check: you may have something inside the throttle tube causing the binding, the grip could be grabbing on the bar. Lastly how much play did you leave in the throttle when you adjusted the cables? If you take too much slack out then the throttle will stick.

Well I guess the gnomes fixed it. I went out yesterday, wiggled and checked everything one more time, snapped the throttle and it works fine. I put the pipe on and rode the shit out of it last night. Thanks for all of the input guys.

Take a spray cam of Silicone and spray it heavy on the linkage between the carbs.

I cannot explain why, but it always works for me.
