I know the area well. Don't forget I lived in Morganton and Marion when I first moved to NC. There are some really nice roads over that way. What the heck are you doing in Morganton BTW. Throw the route in grouprider.com and send me the link. I might be able to throw some other roads in there for us. I really NEED a day away on the REX. See below and you'll know why.

This summer has been crazy to put it mildly. My dad found he has lung cancer and I've been back and forth to the Nashville, TN area all summer. That's why I haven't been on the REX much this year. His house is almost 500 miles one way so it's not a quick trip. I'm really wanting to get something together in the next two to three weeks (or sooner), just have to see how work schedules go. I really need to get away for a day to clear the mind. I will sit down and figure it out this weekend or next week so stay tuned.............

Just got off the phone with beantown and it will be the 27th before either of us are going to be free for a ride and I still have to make sure my mother in law can watch the kiddos but it shouldn't be a problem. With that being said, beantown knows the route and I've rode the roads before. Let's just say, it's going to be a hoot. We'll keep everyone who in interested posted on the details. So in the mean time, let's get a head count on who is interested on Saturday 8/27.

August 27 is my wifes Birthday. Im not sure that will go over well with her, but she usually works Fri, Sat, Sun. If she is indeed working that Saturday I am all in. I just need to be home in time to clean up and take her out for dinner. I will know this evening if she is working on the 27th. and post up the news.

Rueben this is one you don't want to miss. Trust me when I say ya better have your game face on. Three of these roads need your FULL attention ALL of the time. You'll see some of the best roads NC has to offer. And they are hoot to ride on! Knee dragin, peg scrapin stuff, with a 1500 foot drop to the bottom, if ya off road it on one of the roads.

Carb issues that HAD to get taken care of. Freekin fuel level in the bowls were 1.5mm ABOVE factory specs! Gee no wonder the bottom end was so rich. Hmmm wonder if the Stanly pliers we found in my airbox helped at all. Kid you not, took the air filter off and WTF is that??? I have no clue how they got in there either.

And yes I know who I am and I'm not afraid to admit it Nick.

I'm no knee dragger, and we all have a different riding pace. You wouldn't slow anybody down. I've never been on the route that we have planned, and I wouldn't drag a knee on the street even if I had the ability to do so. You are more than welcome to ride with us, nobody gets left behind.
