    Another ZRX reaches 100K

I rolled over my odometer on my way to work this morning. Original engine, never been opened beyond what is needed for valve adjustments and clutch rebuild. Oil consumption is still nearly zero.

This bike is part of my ongoing research designed to support my theory that BMW's reputation for longevity is due mostly to the fact that they are owned and ridden mostly by grownups.

I ride an overly large and needlessly powerful motorcycle. Just starting it makes a polar bear die.

    Cool picture, too.

    Good job man

My 1100 has like 80 or 85k on her, uses no oil either, runs strong. Everything else could use some attention, but engine n tranny are still stout as ever!!

People who didn't have daddy buy the bike for them and have learned there's more to bike maintenance than adding gas.

In the past, I used Motul synthetic but I switched mostly because the availability of this oil was beginning to be hit or miss.

    .
It had about 16K on the odometer when I bought it used from the Kawasaki dealer on highway 290 between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs TX. The guy said it was owned by a cop in Kerrville who traded it in for a new ZX12.

That means I'd have to wash it and polish it real good. Let's just say that it looks like it is 10 years old and has 100K on it.

Oh all right. mine's the one in front. Parked at Kreitzes BBQ in Lockhart TX when a bunch of us met up with JoRay while he was visiting TX, Labor day weekend, a couple of years ago.

What a great achievement! I keep wondering how many miles I will get out of mine. I do everything that I can to keep it in good shape. I even try to avoid riding through rain

Very true. It always seems to work that way. I don't know. Maybe I should just "ride it like I stole it"
