Yes I did. IMO, Zudikaszrx is the Feb BOTM. Let him bask in the glory for a few weeks, open a March nomination thread, and vote for the 8 nominees the last week of Feb.

Thanks. I don't care about winning, just want this section to get active again. I hardly ever post on SVrider but I have been voting on their botm thread every month for years. Would like to see the same enthusiasm here. It could easily work.

I'm with you...I think we are *almost* on the same page. My vision after you started this current thread (and after marinating on your idea after some barley-pops) is to do this:

Run this Feb 2011 contest until the end of February.

During February, accept entries for the March contest.

On March 1st, announce the winner for the Feb contest, make a dedicated thread for the winner, and turn on the poll for the March contest (turning it "on" by me going in and adding a poll with all the 8 contestants).

Wash, rinse, and repeat each month.

Will that work for you? If I am out of sync a month I think it may give me a helmet fire.

This month is weird because the thread was titled Feb BOTM but it actually was started on Jan 19.

I guess it will work either way. I was suggesting you vote the month prior and then the winner is up for the following month. It makes my head spin voting for a month that has already passed.

Either way, it seems folks are starting to post over here again and that is what counts.

No worries on the winner thing..the poll will auto-close itself on Feb 28.
