Pfft. Give myself a stranger and call it a night....

I have heavy tools in way too close proximity to my rear wheel.......

I yanked the swingarm off last night, giggity, to sort of check things over and see what was wearing or was not. My fabtastic skills on the cut up stock chain guard that I modded up to fit are holding and there is hardly any wear that I can see on the rubber piece so it will be going back on to be checked again at a later date. Allright....
The area with chain rub and a nick on the outside is gonna get Walkerized into oblivion. Allright.....
The sprocket carrier bearing is A-ok but I noticed the last time that I had it off that the rear wheel bearings felt gritty. I knew I was going to take it back off soon so I didn't adress it then. This morning when I checked them over I decided to do replace them as they are knarly. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the bearing on the brake side had been installed backwards with the dust cover on the inside and the exposed bearings facing outward. No, no not allright....
Got out the mighty harbour freight bearing puller, said Alan Shepard's prayer, and jerked them out, giggity.
80 bucks a pop for ceramic bearings from Brocks. Got two on there way here. Allright....
Who needs women when all I need to go broke is a garage full of bikes and some tools to fugg them up with????
Pic sucks but the bearing on the right is nasty. I poked a hole in the dust cover on the other.

Got to plan better with your money Buttercup, a single man should have as many women as bikes for riding
Good to see you taking care of the bike, don't want to hear any excuses at the smackdown![]()
I am still not touching that rear rotor....
I can't believe I didn't catch the bearing being installed wrong by the manufacturer(or Brocks, not sure who puts them in) earlier.Would of saved me some cashola.
I thought all bearings had covers on both sides, maybe it fell out ?
The effort in the rear is well worth it![]()
If it fell out the other side fell in as it only had one dust cover as well.
I swear between you, Sportin, and Barnyard your bikes are apart more than they are together!![]()
