Would we like to start a real list of who is waiting so we know who really has the right to complain?

What is it about entering a business deal thats never going to come to fruition that makes you a "real man." Noble?.......maybe. Crazy?.....maybe. I'm not in any way part of this transaction but I know when life support should be terminated. This very bad business deal should be laid to rest not lingering on in a vegetative state.

I was offered someone's spot once before and declined. They are one of the few that now has a centerstand.

Bottom line, I can afford to have the money sit "out there"...I understand that ChuckC has dropped the ball big time on this. However, I also believe that he has good intentions AND the ability to see this through at some point. Better to have me waiting on him then another member that is fed up and frustrated.

Anyone else willing to sell their prepaid CS? (I'd be willing to pick up a few more)

As eluded to previously, if you don't have skin in the game, you really have no business complaining.

Worst case scenario, those that sell off their prepaid CS's no longer have to fret. Best case, I end up with a few CS's. What's it to you?

The lack of communication is everything here. Chuck needs to assess where he is, identify tasks, set out a timetable (like any project), and get to work on it. If money is the problem, say so. As milestones are made or missed, update the "schedule" and report to the paying customers. Maybe a subscribed thread?

If family or other obligations make working on this impossible for now, just say so. Tell people that if they want a refund you will get them out as soon as you can cover them all. If they want to wait, keep them updated, even if it is to say "haven't been able to get to it" every couple of weeks.

Ignoring it won't make it go away, it just pisses people off. We don't want details of your personal problems, just to know what you have planned and that you are aware of the outstanding obligation.

OK, I have cleaned up this thread. If you have not ordered AND paid for a stand from Chuckc, or you are not interested in "buying someone's spot" then DO NOT POST HERE.

Any further posting by those like K-Rex and others, that are not staying ON TOPIC (ie: you have PAID for a stand or want to BUY OUT someone that has PAID...), the posts WILL BE DELETED by me, and each post that I have to delete is a strike against that member. 3 strikes and I will BAN you. I want to keep this thread easy to follow and uncluttered so we can get a read for what is really going on and the true numbers involved.

I am not trying to be an ass, but it gets old reading thru pages and pages of posts to get the info the thread was meant to relay. I am very serious about this.... if you have no monetary stake in Chucks centerstands, PLEASE STAY OUT.

I appreciate the effort in splitting the thread, but just what is all of this trying to accomplish? You could go back up through the thread and put together a list of those who responded, but to what end? Are the stands going to be built, refunds sent, or is this just for the heck of it?

And I assume there are a few who sold the bike, just gave up. or no longer visit the board. Are they going to be considered, or only the tenacious ones? Squeaky wheel and all that? The first post mentions "30 pre-paid", later posts mention 15. So did Chuck keep a list and does anyone have access to it? Surely he wasn't relying on memory. Please tell me Chuck knows who sent him money, who he refunded, and who has stands.

Seriously, where are we going with this? Who are the "we" mentioned above, and what are they going to do with the "read for what is really going on"? Unless there is an objective, this is just stirring the pot.

like barnyard I too would like a center stand-heck chuck even thought my original request for a silver powder coated CS would look nice on a blue zrx w/ silver wheels-and maybe my squeaky wheel may motivate chuck to make good on a project left dormant - but I quit waiting.. after 3.5 yrs- ya can take my spot in line- I figure,now once I am out of the loop, they will be made by labor day after this debacle/refund/buy spot on list w/new obligation,expectations-and that will be cool-if they ever go into mass production I will buy one

This isn't "dieing" the thread was started by Hogan who has a stake in the CS issue. The CS issue keeps getting mucked up by those with no stake in the CS deal. There are some genuine concerns, complaints... I think the point for some with no stake is to help put this issue to bed.

1. Buy the place of those tired of waiting and want a refund.
2. See what is needed to help produce the CS
3. Scrap the whole project.

In my searching it looked to be about 30 people involved, however, that did not state all 30 had paid nor how many had already received a CS.

Those close to chuckc (and those that have had recent phone conversations with him) have said that he intends to make good on the centerstands.

For me, it's worth risking the $150. I've wasted more then that on a crappy meal for the family. Why not buy someone out? (not saying it makes sense for everyone...but, for me, it's worth it)
