    Re: quick stand

How steady is the bike when on the stand. I get the brake lever being applied, but it doesn't "appear" as though it would be very steady.

A recent study found the average Canadian walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found Canadians drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Canadians get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be Canadian, doesn't it??!!

bike is very steady on the stand. a little tricky getting it straight up but with practice its a snap. caution!!when kicking out stand make sure your foot is not under back tire. a must have tool on long trips

Love mine, ESPECIALLY on trips. For chain lubing and rear tire repair on the side of the road they rock. Just make sure you take something to put under it too, or park the bike on a truly hard surface, or it'll sink (don't ask me how I know).

I've had one for several years and love it.

I keep the velcro strap on my handlebars for a "parking brake" if I ever need to park pointing even slightly down hill.

A quick word of warning...the one I have does not work with the spools I have on the swingarm...the spools are too big around for the cable to go over. On trips, I take the actual spool off the right side and just run the bolt.

    Hope that helps someone.

then u got an old one, i sent the guy the same info, told him to lengthen the cable loop and it would work on small or large dia spools.

you can get it apart by taken the set screw out and you got ther spring retainer, you go to lowes get cable 1 inch longer total length, that .5 in per side of loop. crimp in the squeeze on clamp and you got a stand that works perfectly . mine does
