I just got done checking the valve clearance on my 1200. I got it as abasket case and took the valves out and cleaned everything and installed new valve seals and set the valves at the loose side of the clearance specs. I've got about 2500 miles on it and figured I should open it up and check everything. I had a couple of valves loose and a couple tight. My concern is the cam lobes have some pretty serious blueing from heat, there is no pitting just signs of heat. I've been running amsoil 5/40 diesel oil. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
