I never dynoed mine but did drag test and found no real gain over zx11s except my wallet was lighter. This was on a firebreathing 1100 based 1278. They may have been better with different timing numbers but who knows. Web and Megacycle offer grinds for the zx's for better prices unless you've found some used x-1s I suppose.

I'm running an 1195 myself plus ported and skimmed head with ZX cams all on std dyno jetted carbs and a large K&N in the air box - power is 154RWBHP and 93Ft-Lb of torque.
I'm looking for some graphs showing the differences between the ST-1's, X1's and the ZX cams - the idea of the ST's appeal to me due to the fact they are not re-grinds - have the base circle ground on various other makes doesn't appeal due to having to find thick shims to get the correct clearances.
I don't want to move the torque to far up the range same for the power as i like the low down shove.
Maybe better to stay with the ZX cans and fit some carbs to keep the torque and power in the same area but gain more.

Check out www.webcamshafts.com. I don't have a dyno chart on my seriously built 1224 based motor but it makes serious power over a very wide range from the middle to up top.
They have several options that offer more lift and duration than the ST1s. Simon rode my bike at the spring rally and said it's one of the most powerful rex's he's ridden and he knows from whence he speaks! Torque on my motor is down a little bit below 3K but then comes on strong. The bike is really just getting on the cam when it hits the stock redline. Replacing the ignition is next for me and with a lightened crank I intend to spin the motor to 12,500rpms and it should still be making power up there.
I have the X-1s in my otherwise pretty standard 1109 (lightened crank, full Muzzy and pods). After trying a couple of different lobe center positions, I don't see any gains over the ZX11 cams. I think that these need some head work to really come alive.
I am going to remove them and place them for sale.

Yosh cams are only available from Japan and they are about $1200 a pair right now. I can have the same grind hardwelded on stock cams for $725.00..the same as "good guy" pricing on ZX11/ZZR1200 stock Kaw cams (Kaw just had a big price increase). It takes about 3-4 weeks after I get your cores to get them in your hands. I have stock ZRX1100 cores in stock, 1200's you'll have to send me.

I was running ZX cams after the piston kit install, degreed to 103I/105E. I bought the used X1's from Krexken with a set of dual valve springs. It wasn't too long after putting in the 1109 kit I decided to put in the X1's but not wanting the hassle of degreeing the cams I used the X-1 intake cam bolted to a stock ZRX sprocket (100 degree timing?) and left the ZX11 exhaust, 100I/105E. Next time I adjust the valves I'm going to pickup a stock ZX intake sprocket and see what 105/105 does for me. Having said all of this, I couldn't tell any difference between the ZX & X1 intake cam swap. I wouldn't waste the money on them.

ALWAYS degree reground cams, which the X1's are. They are very commonly off a degree or five.
