I guess everyone figured out they can charge more for bike shocks. I purchased the top-end Ohlins in 99' for the 1100 for $600. Now, only 11 years later it's $1500??? (w/shipping/tax)

The raises on all shock prices is not proportional w/other rising pricing. Silliness if you ask me. Get this, back in 77' I bought a GREAT set of S&W shocks for my KZ650 that cost....$69. They stayed on that bike until I sold it in the 90's & they still worked good. Now maybe you know where I'm coming from; bike shocks (today) are priced way way too high.

They are even higher that the MacPherson struts I need for my cage. Think I'll end up w/some Black Trackers as that price is almost reasonable.

Emulsion shock with adjustable rebound damping, threaded pre-load with the C-spanner, and length adjustment of + 10 mm.

They were $525 shipped to my door. I'll post a ride report once I have 'em and put them on the bike.

Appears to be a sale going on Ikon's right now. Here's a response to my inquiry:

I bought a pair of these:
    YSS Model RZ 362-360 TRL @ $ 569.00
Emulsion shock with adjustable rebound damping, threaded pre-load with the C-spanner, and length adjustment of + 10 mm.

They were $525 shipped to my door. I'll post a ride report once I have 'em and put them on the bike.

They're ok, but not that great. They're either a little undersprung or have no compression damping. Whatever the reason, I have to dial in what I think is a lot of preload to get the sag in range. I think they have three springs and I'm at the upper end of one of the ranges. If I end up keeping the ZRX, I will probably sell them and buy something else. They'd probably be great for a lighter rider (I'm 220-ish). YMMV, of course.

What's the sag with just the bike?
    And sag with you onboard?

Anyone tried Wilbers 632 TS Competition?

They models above & below these, but these look & read up well, especially with a 5year warranty..

    Heres the blurb,

    Twin-shock with piggyback reservoir

If you are interested in the advantages of separate high- and low-speed compression setting compression settings for your twin-shock equipped motorcycle, you should consider the 632 TS Competition. The milled top of this shock contains divided compression adjustments for 22 variations in high-speed and low-speed. It also serves as a connection to the piggyback reservoir. Even the rebound damping is generously wide, consisting of 22 clicks for optimal fine-tuning. In addition, our wet run and radial piston technology guarantees sensitive reaction characteristics and maximum functionality and durability.

Raising ride height, and Hydraulic Preload Adjustment available for most models

    DaddyDave,
Here is the e-mail to an importer in the USA
info@epmperf.com the mans name is Klaus.
Price wise, he is offering me a deal @ around $100 more than Ohlins, but you get the extra high & low speed compression dampening.
Mind you ride height adjustment, although available, is not std as on the Ohlins.
Worth looking into as an option.
