Does anyone here have custom fit ear plugs? If yes, where did you get them and how much did you pay? Also, do you feel that it was $$ well spent?

Yes.
Ultimateears.com $180 plus ear mold fee from local audiologist - around $80 for earmolds to be made - so $260 total.
Mine are musicians earplugs, with changeable filters for different levels of noise reduction.
I also have custom in-ear monitors from the same place for RADAR detector / music listening.
Money well spent? Yes, but I use both of them for more than just the ZRX...I use 15 dB filters for concerts and for my flying job.
If they were for ZRX only, I would probably stick to cheap foam earplugs - you can buy a lot of earplugs for $260.
You might be able to find them much cheaper - check with a local audiologist. I didn't shop around, so I know I paid a premium. UE is well renowned so I just went for it.
But I will say they are far more comfortable than foamies...they are literally a perfect fit since they are molded to your own ears..

If you buy them just for riding, get the -25 dB.

I got them through my local hospital hearing dept. They are GREAT. Fit nice and flush, go in and out easily once you know which one fits in what ear (don't ask) Work very well as they really cut out the wind blast which is what bugs me and causes fatigue. Low maint, don't lose one cuz that would suck.
$115 all in. Best mod so far, I can ride all day.
Bonus if your significant other snores, you can sleep with them in.
Got them in blue too![]()

Size matters, good thing I drive a huge bus.
Take a look at these - http://averysound.com/as.noise_protection_earplugs.html . This company sends you a kit to do a mold yourself and you ship it back to them and they make the plugs for you. I have one of their custom plugs for my bluetooth headset and it works and fits AWESOME. I plan on getting their headphones at some point too: http://averysound.com/as.race_ears.html

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW, WHAT A RIDE!"
I got two sets of earplugs about 7 years ago. They were $80 each. Money well spent.
It allows me to ride all day. Also, I use them for other things too. I used them when I needed an MRI and when I take exams for school.
Although foam earplugs are cheaper, properly molded plugs are more comfortable, reduce sound more reliably and last a very long time of cared for.

If there is a big trapshoot / skeet shoot in your area go. There will be vendors that do custom earplugs on the spot. I paid $45.00 for mine and they work perfect under the helmet..
You can't fix stupid...
IMO, I have a set like described above and use them often while shooting. I keep them in my jacket pocket as they're quick to get in and out. While wearing a helmet, at times, it seems like some of the road vibration gets to them. Maybe its the wind against the helmet? I dont know, just know on an Iron Butt I swapped half way to a pair of foamies and it was a very very welcome of quietness. Foams are a beech to keep clean when removing and installing a bunch, but its for sure the best I've found. YRMV.
