Good morning everyone,
It has been a while since I have been on the site, but I wanted to pass along some sad news. Joe Gallagher (A.K.A. Mavwrek) took his life late last night. Joe had been struggling with personal issues that eventually took him. He battled back several times and I hoped for the best. As soon as his family passes along the funeral arrangements, I will make sure to post them here.
I know, at times, that Joe rubbed some of you the wrong way. I knew Joe on a deeper level as we lived 20 minutes apart. Joe was a true friend who would be there if help was needed. Joe has a middle school daughter that his world revolved around. Joe and I had many great days out on the Rexes and would often sit around a talk about our favorite rides. He loved his ZRX and we enjoyed riding together. Joe held many of you in high regards and would often turn to you when he was stumped with bike issues. I know that he would have wanted me to pass this information along to you.
Please pray for his family. I can't imagine what they are feeling.

That's messed up! I didn't know Joe that good, but I thought he was gonna make another try at going back into the military. Sucks, just really sucks!!!!

I'm really sorry to hear this. He was battling life on a lot of fronts, but I thought he was making a comeback. It's very sad that his life ended this way.

This is really sad news to say the least. I met Joe at the ytrap rally a few years ago. We road the dragon and when on a nice ride with a few others. From what I know of Joe I like him. I know he was having hard time, but just didn't know how bad it was.

this is really sad,i have talked with joe a few times and oftain wondered when something like this was gonna happen.

WOW ...

I've followed his troubles here for the past couple years. I helped him with his bike when he needed something ..... gave him a bad time when he need that too. Sad to here it ended this way for him.

Such a shame to have to read this.I thought that he was trying to get sober because he had posted this awhile ago.I just hope that he has finally found the inner peace that he has sought and deserves.Godspeed!

his demons got the best of him, and that bottle turned into the mental demon we all know it can, He called me yesterday and said good bye,
He just lost the will to fight, seems he could not take the consequences of his actions while he had that demon to his lips. I was more concerned that he might use the police to do it, and that would have been really sad.
Rich he left me some instructions as things to do for him, If you have it I need his moms phone, please drop me a PM,
It is sad for her, that joe lost the veal for life and his child,
