    added blocking plates

Got a problem after making the reed valve modification to valve cover's.
1.Pulled reed covers and cut out and installed a piece of 1/8" aluminum on top of reed vaves, then put reed valve covers back on.
    2. vacume lines going to carb's were removed and capped off.
    3. large hose going to airbox, from reed valves was cut back and plugged.
started up very good. idles seemed smother, and more responsive.
went inside to jacket and lid to take test ride and messed up by leaving gas tank valve on prime for tooo. long, had hard time cranking but finnaly started.
was flooded so bad, raw gas was spraying out the slipon tip. let it run, figured if it hasnt caught fire by now it probably wanst.
    4. now the big problem, tood test drive and about 1/2 mile from house engine started acting just like it does when out of gas and needs to be switched over to reserve. still has 1/2 tank. running very rough, opened air box up thinking filter soaked but not.
    what could it be?"??
    fouled plugs?

prolly plugs... also check and make sure ya didn't get any gas into the oil

the only time to prime is when the carbs are dry, and then only about 15 secs

check the oil for gas in it, now...

if no gas in the oil, then proceed to the plug check ...
