    Mr. Wog's seat mod

    Hello to all
It's been awhile since my last seat mod, I'm almost out of the weeds and my health is on the rebound.I'm going to start to ramp up the seats again, so if any interest in the mod, this is the info.

    Seat mod
I offer 2 different cuts, the sport and the classic. Both are cut lower than stock, reason being, I take the ridges out of the stock foam that put your legs and butt to sleep. I shape the stock foam to make the seat more comfy, and it works out quite well.
The only thing I do to the passenger seat is I shave the small lip in the very rear, so it blends into the tail section.
I’m 6 1’ ½ and use the sport seat, but I don’t mind my legs bent a tad, and I like sitting into the bike.
I use a basket weave material in the front section and smooth in the rear. I offer some colors in piping between the rider and passenger section. I can do most materials, but that usually involve me ordering. The basket weave combo just looks right, so I stick with it.
I can scoop the rear front seat section out just a small amount; the stock pan only allows so much room.
The problem with the REX is that it allows the passenger to slide forward too much, and that’s just the nature of this beast. (Not very passenger friendly)
If you would like pictures, send me a email @ paulewog@gsinet.net
$225 includes shipping back to you, 3 to 5 day turn around time.
So the final result is a very nice looking seat that allows you to ride many miles in comfort. Many others and I can testify to this. 300+ mile days can be had in comfort, but this also depends on the individual of course.

    Re: Mr. Wog's seat mod

Thanks, it's good to feel human again, my ride to hell and back was interesting to say the least. I'm cancer free now, and I'm just dealing with some crazy side effects. I'm starting to to get out and about, but it's slow going, I lost 60 lbs. and I'm pretty week. So I'm building my skinny arse back into shape.
But hey I'm alive and well and looking forward to my new life, I had time to think and revamp my time on this planet.

Mr. Wog...I love your seat as well. It makes for a much more comfortable ride even though it's cut much differently than the paralyzing stocker.

Glad to see you're up and out again and feeling much better.

I am also glad that you are doing better Paul. Your seat made all the difference to me. I can now ride my ZRX with my short little legs and don't worry about dropping it on the ground. Your seat is much better than the Corbin and the stock seats that I have installed on my ZRXes. Some mods work and I can tell you that your seats rock!

I am very happy to hear you are doing better.

Just a plug here ... your seat mod is the best seating option available for the ZRX at any cost.

So ... raise the price a bit so you make money on them.

Great to see you back Paul!!!

I'll also testify to the "Wog" seat...

I've tried them all... stock, Corbin, and Sargent - the Wog seat is far and away the absolute best! I still have a Corbin GF/Lady w/backrest that I use for two up riding - only. The Wog seat is the best fitting, best looking, and most comfortable seat I've every had. And, I'm not saying that just to please Paul. He really does top quality work.

I wince whenever I have to put the Corbin on - and I thought that was the best seat on the planet. I take the Corbin off the second I'm done with it and put my "good" seat back on. His work is a steal for $225.

    Paul,
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I was saddened to hear that you had fallen ill. You did a seat for me a year ago, and got it to me just before my annual week long ride. Your seat was great, and your service was fantastic. Take care of yourself. Eric Durfee, (oclvzrx)

Paul - glad to hear you're doing better. Look at it this way - 60 fewer lbs = a lot more free HP..

    Hope you keep on improving.

It's good to see you back, posting about your seat mods . Glad your feeling better. That's gotta make the sky's a little bluer, the grass a little greener. I gota a question Paul:

Can you take out the "Outside Ridge" on a Corbin Gunfighter seat and round them off somewhat? I really like my Corbin except for the fact that you can't shift your weight around on it. Not that I live in an area with any "Twisties" but even accelerating down an entrance ramp to the freeway I like to do a little hanging.

I could do this for you, but to save you time and $. you can take the cover off and do this. The foam can be sanded very easy, take a sander and shape it slowly to where you want it. Staple the cover back on and your good to go.
If not I could do it for you.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To all who come across this thread.........

Bought an extra stocker on eBay and finally sent it to Mr. Wog for an all-black, sport cut. He received it on 18Mar08, modded it and had it back to me on 24Mar08------that my friends is AWESOME service.

Installed the seat last night, rode to work this AM. The seat is beyond expectations, incredibly more comfortable than the stock seat. I also like it way more than the Corbin and the Sargent. If you are looking for a seat, look no further--for $225, you get a great looking seat and an awesome ride. When me gets the time mateys, i'll post some pics.

    Hats off to Mr. Wog

Now that Paul's back in business, I do want to get my seat modded, however, I probably have to put it off till fall, or find a donor seat. Given the glacial speed at which deliveries from south of the boarder arrive here, even Paul's amazing turnaround time would end up eating into my summer riding time - big time!

Guess its time to start shopping for a replacement to send to Paul.

    Yepper! Subtle Silver it is.

Is that Paul's classic seat or his sport seat?

I've been lookin' for a stock seat. Might have a deal on one but that depends on a previous dibber, so I may still be looking.
