    Dyna 2000 retard mode

In the process of installing the ignition and the the installation guide says to use the purple wire and when grounded it activates the retard mode.I am also installing a nitrous system . My question is what do they mean by grounded? Can someone just tell me where to connect the dam wire to so I can go riding. Thanks Shawn

UUHHH... purple wire?? Isn't the retard wire on your Dyna 2000(model DDK2-4) orange in color? Mine is.
If you are running nitrous, then you would want to ground the wire when the nitrous activates. You have to have one of the four retard modes selected with the dial on the side of the Dyna 2000 unit.

the new version of the dyna2000 has more wires than the old setup. The orange wire, now, is purely a safety circuit (IE, neutral safety switch)

As larry says, you need to ground the purple wire. There's many ways you can do that. You can put it on just about any switch circuit that is open when the NOS is off, and closed when the NOS is on.
