Took the V-strom 1000 XT for a test ride.
It had the lowered seat and suspension linkages. Still a tall bike for me though. Both feet down on tip toes.
Nice bike though, ergonomicly ride position,...

Will be having a look at a 2016 1000 this week.
Presume no rider aids for lowering seat hight?

    Re: Temp. Sensor

    From the OC.
The only reason the temp light comes on with the ignition before start up is the diode in the R loom.
This allows the temp bulb to find a path to ground through the oil pressure switch...

    Re: Switch to Pods?

I have two 12's. One has DJ stage 3 and pods. One has DJ stage 1 and airbox with K&N snorkel removed.
Both have full systems. No dyno tuning on either both run good. Airbox runs better.

    Re: Fork damper rod disassembly

Lift the lock nut on the damper rod so it sits above the washer on top of the spacer. Hold in place with a 14mm spanner.
Unscrew the top cap with a 17mm spanner. There is no thread lock.
