    Re: Online helmet retailers.

Although I prefer to buy from locally sourced shops, Revzilla is my favorite online moto-shop. If something doesn't fit or arrives broken or damaged, they do it right by the customer, no questions...

Re: And the FJR 1300A has arrived.

Yeah, like I've said, some real sweet heart deals on FJR's if you shop, even w/the last 2 gen FJR's. That's a lot of bike for the $$$.

Re: And the FJR 1300A has arrived.

I've never even used the touring mode. Don't see the purpose. The sport mode works fine, no throttle abruptness that I've experienced, good application when the wrist twists! My brain is my throttle...

That's because there a lots of smoking deals out there on FJR's newer & older. You just gotta shop- cycletrader, motorcycleautotrader, ebay, craigslist, facebook marketplace (where I first saw mine.)...

On the FJR forum I belong to, some folks who went the Ivan's route stayed w/using 87 and found no issue.

Don't quote me on this but I believe the Ivan's ECU mod does away w/the speed limitation on the cruise controls pre-'16 (?).

16 & up have 6 speed trannies, slipper clutches & LED lights front & rear.

Older model- first gen FJR's are absolute steals and these bikes reportedly run forever. Me, I wanted the newest I could...

Re: And the FJR 1300A has arrived.

If you can afford it, the newer the better. The 13's and up have cruise control and an electric windscreen- both fantastic options. I've seen low mileage '13's in the $6g range.

The Motus bikes were winners, except for the outrageous price and lack of modernity w/such items as ABS and cruise control. So much else to like about the bike tho, but never in my price range. Guess...

    Indeed.
