    Re: The great vibration mystery

You don't need anyone sitting on the bike to adjust the chain. Adjust it to have 1-1/2" (38mm) slack in the middle of the lower run and you'll be good. I actually checked this when I had my rear tire...

    Re: The great vibration mystery

How new are you to the bike? Could this be an issue that became apparent as you got to know the bike? Inline 4 cylinder engines are somewhat buzzy to begin with, that's why most were rubber mounted...

    Re: The great vibration mystery

Does it vibrate while moving only or can the vibration be recreated in the garage by running the engine between 3500 - 4500 RPM? I don't see spark plugs on your list, perhaps you have a mis-fire. You...

I see your logic Chris (it's what's been changed causing the problem) but I think something else is going on here. Like he's riding a gear higher now due to the closer ratio's in the 6 speed or...

    Re: Torque loss

No torque loss, but the feel of an engine changes with the lightened crank, I'm sure you noticed when you did yours.

Years ago I assisted with an engine swap in my bosses Suburban, he wanted a 454...

Agreed. It's something other than the transmission. Final drive perhaps?

Re: Is that a legit emotional support animal?

You laugh. I spent 4 long weekends (Fri night, Sat & Sun) in class with a woman with a small dog (emotional support animal). Between her issues, another woman's issues and the dog the other 5 of us...

Agreed. And this behavior negatively affects the image of people that actually need their service animal much in the same way a squid negatively affects our image as motorcyclists. As stated, a sense...

I agree with Cory. Everything I've read supports the LT5 being a great engine. The VROD engine is an american liquid cooled V-Twin that just happened to have it's ports, valves and combustion chamber...

The new Corvette is a bases loaded home run!

It's still a pushrod engine, a dual overhead cam engine would be impossible to fit in the current space as it's much bulkier up top. The engine and...

    Re: Balancer Oil Seal

The ZRX four cylinder motorcycle engine vibrates due to the 2 pistons moving together, 2 go up as 2 go down. The balancer or balance shaft is a shaft in the front of the engine with weights cast into...

A pick. You can purchase a curved one that digs in pretty good and pull it out in one move. Or stab it an an angle and pry it out.
