Re: Are these guys OA members?

Really, more of a lunch box than a beard wasn't it? Snacks at least.

  2. Re: Approached by Five- 0 last Friday while riding REX

Yeah, the Chippie warned me about that! He said he was not a regular but only there due to the fact it was a holiday weekend. Nice guy. As are most cops I've run into.

One let me off a speeding...

    Re: RIP Ginger Baker

As a drummer I was always a fan of his drumming. As with many of my R & R favs, sometimes better not to look behind the music too much.

I watched the 2005 Royal Albert Hall shows over the...
  4. Re: 2019 Barber Vintage: let the eye feast begin.

Nice pictures but, surely, there must have been a few more purty girls in attendance?
  5. Re: 2019 Barber Vintage: let the eye feast begin.

My friend Walt was racing back there on a 350 Aermacchi-HD. Took 5th on Saturday and DNF due to gearbox Sunday. Said it was pretty damn hot back there.

    Looks like fun.
  6. Re: Approached by Five- 0 last Friday while riding REX

Had a cop pull me over on Angelus Crest Highway just to look at my ZRX once. Glad it wasn't for a ticket.

    Re: Need new engine.

I have a spare 1100 motor. But I'm in CA. Bought it several years ago from a guy called Bullfrog here who was parting his bike out. Never heard it run but it appears to be all there.

    Bought...

  9. Re: Anyone with carb stick/vacuum gauges live near Tehachapi CA??

I have the tool but if Ontario is too far then I'm too far as well. Too bad Herb is not still up in Lancaster! He helped me synch mine.
  10. Re: Bill would cap ethanol in nation's fuel supply

Yup. The AMA has been lobbying against E15 for a long time. Using it voids most motorcycle and side by side warranties. It's bad. There are serious issues with selling it side-by-side with E10,...

    Re: Happy Birthday wifeofzrx24

I was born in Japan on 11/7/55 per my Certificate of Live Birth. Which was 11/6 in the USA. But my parents kept my birthday November 7 so I am always a day ahead!

Re: Loving where I live now!

What I want to know is how you share your photos here. I use photobucket and it's always just an address.

Very pretty place. Until the snow flies--as triton mentioned. Spoiler.

    Re: Tin colors

Seems to me that riding would be really good therapy for either hand and the right wrist. Of course, you have to have enough grip strength to brake and clutch before you can ride. Well, ride fast...

    Re: Tin colors

My friend Lisa (aka my "Moto Wife") has a 2018 that has a red frame and black tin. Looks nice.

As I recall, they re-named the SV650 the "Gladius" for a while in an effort to appeal to women...

    Re: Tin colors

Since we're talking about Suzukis, my '80 GS550E was a nice deep red. Same for the '81 GS650E. I bought a Shoei fairing for the 550 and it went right on the 650 and the color match was near...

The ZRX blue is a really nice color IMO. Though, as we all know, I prefer my own red.

  24. Re: Michelin Pilot Road 5s impress the hell out of me

That's about as far as the stock rear tire and the Avon I then put on lasted--just over 6K.

    Thanks for the info!
  25. Re: Michelin Pilot Road 5s impress the hell out of me

Sounds like an epic trip Herb! Now that you're living in Havasu City maybe we can get together when I'm over there to visit the grandkids. I'll PM you next time we're coming over.

    I recently...
