  1. Re: Im looking for an experienced ZRX1200R mechanic local to North London

I have had my ZRX1200S (with the fairing) up to 265km per hour, rock steady, absolutely no wobble.
I couldn't go any faster because the carbs simply weren't passing enough fuel through ......

    Re: Gas - nearly $5/Gallon

  5. Re: Does anyone use a gps on their bike?

Garmin dedicated GPS for my cars.
It came in handy when we did the lap around Australia a couple of years back, never lost a signal, unlike on our phones.
I always take it along overseas, such as...

I run Road 5s on both my ZRX and ZZR. Excellent wear, good in the wet, and in the corners.

    Re: Confronting texting drivers

We get the same in this country, morons who know there is a big fine looming, but still try to get away with it.

  11. Re: Radiator leak - Repair vs Replace vs Used?

When my OEM radiator started to leak, I had it repaired at a radiator shop. It leaked again the next day. Did this twice.
I then had the offending fin pinched off. No more leaks.

    After a while...

    Re: Throttle cable

This may be a sign for some of us with original cables (mine is an '01) to think about replacing them, ie preventative maintenance.

    Re: Lightly burning oil. :-(

I had the same symptoms with my 1200 a couple of years back. Top-end overhaul fixed it - valve stem seals, valve seats recut. Did piston rings at the same time. All good now.

Re: Why should I use stick coils

I converted my ZRX1200 and ZZR1200 to stick coils.
    Some details here.

Both are more responsive and start better, especially the ZZR.
