    I dont have bar end mirrors, but I have removed the weights from 2 ZRXs and replaced with lightweight options - on neither have I felt any signifigant difference.

    That's a good point Allen, I will give the surfaces that mate with the swingarm a scotchbrite to ensure no slippage - thanks for the heads up.

    Brian, I believe the PO never serviced it but had their local shop do it.

    And by local, I mean the ONLY shop around - 2 hours from his house :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    So mine are pretty banged up from years of abuse and as the whole bike looks better, they are really standing out as a weak point.

    Would I be able to get away with lightly sanding them on a flat...

    Well all installed, cleaned and ACF'd - I am not 100% with my job on the master link (broke the tip on the tool :doh ) so I have ordered and will redo.

    The front was so grubby it took me a can of...

    A few more "fixing" items to go before I can really say I am modding it. Once the front sprocket arrives all that gets replaced.
    Then it's the brakes, I have everything...
