Re: My wife is the best...

Sorry guys. I haven't forgotten about this but an annoying flu has been grounding me over the last couple days. :(
I will get back to this as soon as possible and handle your tee requests.

That thing looks awesome. Well done!

The only detail I would leave off the bike is the thigh-brush on the license plate.

    Re: Lost my Hero yesterday

My deepest felt condolences Jim. That is a great photo.

I lost my father a couple years ago but we were never really close.
I wish we were but life's ways are not always turning out like we want....

Those eyes should be green. :)

I registered the Gipsy and the Red Thumper at the local DMV today and took the Thumper out for a first ride. She runs generally great, pulls strong and the sound is...

    Ok, you're in.
My wife asked for a dual stripe sleeve too but they could not make it. Sorry.

I will check that. What size would she need?

  14. Re: I think I probably need counseling - looking for a bike again: 1986 KLR600

So I picked up the Red Thumper on Friday and started to clean her up on the weekend.

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Brian, I got those delicious waffles too when Jaco sent me my brackets but I knew how to properly use them. :nana:

Thanks for bringing back that memory. I still have the GPZ/Ninja poster that Jaco...

Yeah, me too. I've always wanted one and finally got it. :)

Right Davy. I am already afraid of messing that one up too.

Thanks Wayne. That is exactly the plan.

    Honestly....
  17. Re: I think I probably need counseling - looking for a bike again: 1986 KLR600

We all knew what would happen, right?

I was there today with my wife. Seller is a really nice guy. We pushed the Red Thumper out of his garage and she looks just as good as on the pics he offered...

Re: Zephyr paid me a visit..

I still miss my 750 Zephyr that I gave away when I got the ZRX.

The only thing I hated on each and every ride was the unbelievably slippery seat cover.
  19. Re: I think I probably need counseling - looking for a bike again: 1986 KLR600

Good point with the harness. I've been lucky with the 33 year old on the KMX and the 32 year old on the GPz but that does not necessarily have to be with all old Kawis.
    I'll have an eye on...

Thanks for your thoughts guys.

I already downloaded a workshop manual. :truce
  21. Re: I think I probably need counseling - looking for a bike again: 1986 KLR600

Ok, so you're not being helpful in stopping me either but what did I expect?

But it gives a warm, fuzzy feeling not to be alone with this disease. Thanks for your thoughts so far.

  22. I think I probably need counseling - looking for a bike again: 1986 KLR600

IDK if it is midlife crisis or a brain parasite but I am looking for a bike again.

This time I am thinking of a big single. I always liked the big enduros of the 80s like the Honda XL or the...

Group buy will end at the end of this month and then I will wrap it up and see how many I have to order.
I will also be able to tell the shipping costs to the US. If it is too...

    Re: Maisto Z900RS

And you never will - my wife has explored the internet and beyond to get me one. Not a chance. IDK why nobody ever made a model of this beauty of a bike. :Nose

    Re: ZRX bikes and Family

My brothers are almost helplessly lost to the Honda virus (900F Bol d'Or, 2x 1100R, 750F2, VFR1000 plus a Yammie XT500) - the ship to convince them of a Kawi has sailed long ago.

    I have hopes that...
